The Omega Manufacturing division is one important member of the internationally renowned and highly respected Magna Industrial Co. Limited, established in 1964.
Omega is not a fuel producer, unlike many of the world’s major oil companies. Omega exists solely to research, formulate and supply engineer designed oils, greases, lubricant additives and associated products, all of which are manufactured to the highest practicable standards.
Omega lubricants are formulated from specially selected, choice quality, highest purity base stocks, usually paraffinic, which are blended with technologically advanced and patented “Megalite” supplements, unique to Omega. Paraffinic base stocks are used for their natural benefits of high resistance to heat, oxidation and moisture contamination. They have far less corrosive sulphur content and a high and stable viscosity index.
The major fuel companies’ lubricants are normally made from by-products of fuel processing (which is their main business sphere). They comprise common napthenic, aromatic or asphatic crude oils and thus have limited lubrication qualities.
